Meet the management Team:
President & CEO - Jonathan Hinton
Jonathan founded Apex Controls in February of 2009. Since founding the company Jonathan has been responsible for the growth of Apex and its flagship product line, the SweatMiser™.
Prior to founding Apex, Jonathan was a co-founder of PowerSecure (NASDAQ: POWR) and served as Sr. VP of Sales in their Distributed Generation group. Jonathan was responsible for the design, sale, and construction of over $200M of Distributed Generation projects to the supermarket, healthcare, and manufacturing industries. Mr. Hinton also served as an analyst with Goldman Sachs in their Investment Banking group.
Jonathan graduated Magna Cum Laude from Georgia State University with a BBA in Accounting.
CFO - Phillip Cook
Phillip is currently responsible for managing Apex's operations related to finance, accounting, treasury, and investor relations. Phillip leverages his experience and track record as a successful industry veteran to continue to keep Apex in compliance with the large number of states we operate in while also maintaining funding for future growth.
Prior to Apex, Phillip served as a SEC reviewing partner in KPMG's Atlanta office. Phillip has over 30 years experience delivering services to banking, thrift, mortgage banking, healthcare, manufacturing, communications, and real estate clients. Phillip has extensive experience in initial public stock offerings, secondary offerings and private placement financing transactions.
Phillip is a CPA in Georgia and a member of the AICPA and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has been a guest speaker on various technical and accounting issues for local industry associations.
Phillip earned his BS in Industrial Management at the Georgia Institute of Technology and his Master's of Professional Accountancy from Georgia State University.
Vice President Electrical Division - Brandon Knight
Brandon is in charge of managing and growing Apex's Electrical Contracting Division. This division, originally formed to support the growth of SweatMiser™ installations, has grown at the request of our customers. Today Apex, under Brandon's leadership, is engaged in a variety of services including retail remodels, fast-track upgrades, EMS Installations, various services to cell tower companies, and many other services to meet our customers' needs.
Prior to joining Apex, Brandon has over 20 year of experience in the Electrical Contracting industry. Brandon began his career with two regional contractors from Oklahoma before being recruited by Lin Rogers Electric. Brandon was with Rogers Electric for over eight years and held many positions. Brandon's most recent role was managing operations of the Dallas, TX office. Brandon managed hundreds of employees and completed over $75M in projects over his tenure with the company.
Brandon studied Electrical Engineering at Oklahoma State University and also holds many Electrical Licenses across the United States.
